The NIA (Nurture – Initiative – Achievement) Mentor Program is based on a two-tiered mentoring system that comprises a peer mentor and a faculty or staff mentor for each mentee. By mentoring a student, a faculty or staff mentor will play an active role in aiding the college’s retention efforts. More importantly, a mentor will touch the life of the mentee as a friend and role model.
